Family is a big project.
Prepare the nest.
Building a family through assisted reproduction, in any of its forms, means making hugely consequential decisions in the middle of one of life’s most stressful seasons. Dr. Fogle provides assisted reproduction counseling around family building, help coping with the stress of fertility treatment, and consultation for individuals, couples, and families receiving donor gametes.
Why the consultation
comes first.
Many fertility clinics require a psychological consultation before moving forward with a donor cycle. Families meet with Dr. Fogle to think through the decisions and questions that come with third-party reproduction.
These conversations are not a test. They are preparation: creating space to talk openly about the choices ahead can help you feel more thoughtful and prepared as you build your family.
- Intended parents receiving donor eggs or donor sperm
- Single parents by choice
Donor egg and donor sperm consultations are $400.
Counseling beyond the consultation.
Separately from consultation, Dr. Fogle provides counseling and support for the emotional experience of infertility, fertility treatment, and pregnancy loss. The work is a place to process what is happening, cope with the uncertainty, and stay connected to yourself and your relationships along the way. Common concerns include:
- The emotional toll of infertility. Grief, anger, sadness, envy, and the feeling that your life is on hold.
- The stress of fertility treatment. Managing uncertainty, appointments, procedures, waiting, and the ups and downs of each cycle.
- Pregnancy loss. Making space for grief while navigating what comes next.
- Anxiety and depression. Especially when treatment or loss begins to affect sleep, mood, or daily life.
- Relationships under strain. Staying connected to your partner when you are coping differently or facing different hopes and fears.
- The isolation of infertility. Navigating friends’ pregnancies, baby showers, family questions, and feeling left behind.
- Decisions about what comes next. Continuing treatment, taking a break, considering donor conception, or imagining a different path to parenthood.
It starts with one conversation.
Consultations are scheduled promptly, with fertility timelines in mind.
